I think the way the world is heading, if that leap doesn't happen, we're all completely screwed.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02448678610889657281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4879615387850345622.post-82333605364952094052015-08-24T13:00:32.112+10:002015-08-24T13:00:32.112+10:00I agree fulsomely about those differences. I wonder how many generations it will take till men can allow themselves to be weak and women can allow themselves to be themselves Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01122659239039900398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4879615387850345622.post-26608092998544899142015-08-23T14:53:39.920+10:002015-08-23T14:53:39.920+10:00I do think both women and men struggle with this i...I do think both women and men struggle with this issue, but for different reasons - Men don't want to be perceived as weak, whereas women don't want to be perceived as a burden. The result is the same, though - we're less connected and interdependent than we could be.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02448678610889657281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4879615387850345622.post-67787256075009428782015-08-21T09:40:02.365+10:002015-08-21T09:40:02.365+10:00No, I don't think it's horrible that you&#...No, I don't think it's horrible that you're glad I'm pouring my shit all over the page. I mean, there's something sorta redemptive about that, isn't there. And it might even fit in with 'Innocence' if we try :-)

It's loathsome how many of us feel we don't want to be too much trouble. Especially women. I feel curious about that sometimes but it hasn't been so long since women were burned at the stake.

Lovely to 'see' you :-) Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01122659239039900398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4879615387850345622.post-73341953716829285332015-08-20T14:00:31.811+10:002015-08-20T14:00:31.811+10:00Wow, Sue. It's been a long time since I've been here, or to my own blog for that matter, and I actually opened Blogger tonight because I was so sick of myself that I made myself start writing a post, just to get all this negativity and self-doubt and etc. out into words on a screen instead of just eating my gut. And here you are, apparently doing something similar and I'm so glad. Is it horrible that I'm glad you're pouring out your pain for me to read and feel better because of? Or is that kind of the whole point of why we write shit down? I honestly don't know, but I totally related to your "too much trouble" feeling. And the truth is, I feel like I'm doing something wrong or being a burden or annoying people or being selfish or etc. a large portion of the time. And my word for the year is "innocence." Ha. You ask for a lesson on innocence and what you get is a year of looking your sense of guilt and shame in the face on a daily basis.

Anyway, thank you. I hadn't realized how much I miss you until I came over here.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02448678610889657281noreply@blogger.com
