I know with different screen settings people's blogs can look really crap and they don't know. This template I'm using is meant to be a flexible width template, meaning that it's columns shift in accordance with the size of people's screens. So therefore, by rights it shouldn't look too ridiculous on any screen.
I looked at it on my friend's computer last night (how vain :) and it looked a bit dodgy, because her screen is smaller.
So, can you tell me, does this blog look really skanky and ho-ey on your screen? Let me know if it does. Thanks :)
the header at the top might need to be sized smaller. for me it does not fit into my viewing area.
ReplyDeleteMine has the same issue, the header is a little bit longer than the margin, but otherwise it looks stylin.
ReplyDeleteAnd since we know everything must find some relation to a movie these days, this theme reminds me of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.
I didn't know about blog fits. I don't want to know if mine looks off because I don't have time to fix it!
I haven't had time to read through all your most recent posts :(, but I'll catch up later. Took all my time here in commenting.
Good day lovely Sue!
Looks great to me. I'm 1280x800.
ReplyDeleteMethinks the header image isn't fluid...why it's too big on some screens.
hmmmm...not sure what it's supposed to look like. the header fills most of the page with just a few tree branches behind "discombobula". is that what it's supposed to be?
ReplyDeletewider than my screen, too.
ReplyDeleteLooks like many need to go buy larger screens. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks great on mine.
Looks great, Sue - I use roughly the same template, so I would say that ;-)
ReplyDeleteOne thing, though - as others have noticed, the header picture is too wide. Try removing it, then uploading it again, and this time, check the little box that says "resize image", or whatever the exact words are. That should cause it to fit in between the page header corner elements. I had the same problem with the photo on mine till I did that...
Hope it works for you!
Mike
My screen is 1024X768 and a 17" . . . still too wide.
ReplyDeleteYeah I have a big screen and the header is too big. But since it's better to have a big head than a big butt, that's okay ;)
ReplyDeleteFixed now, Sue... what did you do, reduce the image width to less than the header width?
ReplyDeleteLooking good!
Mike
Erin - how do you make the bloody stupid header image fluid? I've trying to find the answer to this perplexing question for about 30 google pages and haven't managed to find it yet!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks good now! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's sitting stuck on the left-hand side of my screen and looks crap.
ReplyDeleteMine looks kind of like this:

I haven't figured out how to do the shading yet ... you'll just have to use your imagination for that.
looks okay from here :)
ReplyDeleteWow, Ken, it's looking pretty damn weird on your screen *scratches head* :)
