IT'S SPRING! IT IS! IT REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY IS! IT'S SPRING! SPRING, I SAY?! SPRING!
I just ate some apple pie to celebrate. With double cream. To celebrate lengthening days, warming weather, wearing less layers to bed.
Happy Spring, Southern Hemisphere!
WOOOHOO! Wonderful spring.... Enjoy it like I know you will :) Fall is approaching here; you can smell it-- another great season- ahhh
ReplyDeleteYou will have to write all about spring and summer to entertain my fall and winter. We noticed a chill in the air last night that had not been there before and it made me sad. But knowing people in the southern hemisphere gives me hope and a reminder that summer will come again.
ReplyDeleteFirst day of autumn, here, Sue, and it's just beginning to feel like it. My very favourite time of year! There's an excitement in the air, coupled with melancholy - very odd and hard to define, but it does something astonishing in my heart...
ReplyDeletefall is approaching fast here....my two favorite seasons (spring and fall)
ReplyDeleteMyself, Manuela, Mike, and Maggie took a hike through a nature preserve today....it felt more like summer during that hike. I wish you could have joined us Sue.
It was funny that Maggie was the most exhausted and she was carried most of the time. :)Enjoy the spring Sue.
Ooh, I wish I could have joined you guys on your hike too. I agree, fall is surely the most heartexpanding of the seasons. Something about that melancholy sitting side by side with the beauty of the colours of the falling leaves. I find it a bit too melancholy, hating winter as I do (although I must say, I don't think I'l be feeling as trepidatious as recent years, considering I got through this one pretty darn good with far less whingeing than usual :)
ReplyDeleteAww, Erin, I will write about spring and summer, just to keep your hope alive :) I notice getting older how quickly time flies - before you realise it it will be spring again in your woods and I'll be fighting off the melancholy waves :)
