Urgent prayer request

Wednesday 27 August 2008

Please pray for Harold, my sculpture. She's about to be kiln fired. Heh :)

Wilbur has gone also. I kissed him goodbye on Monday, right on his clayish mouth. Probably give me some horrible disease.

I hope they both survive the kiln firing experience. I mean, I've survived it so far so maybe they will too :) I'm enjoying the respite. The air feels so nice when it's not 1700 degrees celcius :)

  3. You must have neglected your Christian duty to save them from the fires!

  5. "Can the pot say to the potter, "Hey dude, why are you smokin me?""

Maybe that isn't the exact verse, but ya know....

  6. Haha :) I kissed Wilbur goodbye and beseeched him to withstand the heat and not explode in the kiln, but he remained mute :)

  8. No, just au naturale. But you know what I'm gonna do next, Kel? Off to pottery classes for me.

That Maggie, she's been pretty spot on about the stuff that ends up totally resonating with me. She was excited for me to work with clay, and excited for me to paint, and both of those things are ultra exciting to me.

I think I have a post brewing. All this feels too good to be true, you know? Which is probalby the natural state of someone who has repressed all this stuff for 25 years. WHEEEEEE!!!! :)

  9. You are HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!

Hey I LOVE the new blog design, by the way. It is beautiful. Did you do it yourself?

  10. Shelia - no, didn't do it myself. I'm not conversant enough with html and css to do that. It is purdy, isn't it? To celebrate the onset of spring where I live :)
