Less blogging more creative variety

Storyteller has just informed me that in 4 days I have posted 11 times. That is crazy, even for me! :)

I love this blog but I do use it sometimes as a way of avoiding being creative in other ways. Hopefully, you will see less of me over the next few days :)

See, to say that I'm hopefully not going to be blogging as much, I've just created my 12th blog post in 4 days. Where does it end?

In other news, it has been the hottest March on record here in Melbourne. Which is kinda cool for a heat lovin' chicky like me ... but still, 39 degrees is too hot by anyone's standards. Last night I woke at 2am and came and slept in the loungeroom on Keanu, in the airconditioning. I feel like total cactus. Bring on the cool change. Even I'm ready for it now.

  1. Saturday evening we were, well, my husband was watching some car race that was live in Melbourne and he pointed out to me that they were saying how hot it was.

    Must be nice!

  2. Oh, the grand prix. I can't think of anything more boring. Like someone was saying on the radio yesterday, to go there as a social event is no good because you can't bloody hear what anyone says (which is the same for nightclubs too) and to go as entertainment is no good because the car that is in the lead at the first turn is generally the car that wins :)

Well, that's my take on the grand prix anyway. I'd rather watch my toenails grow.

Yeah, it is nice. But still, 39 celsius is 102 fahrenheit - too hot, you agree?

  3. I don't know, I could handle a little 102F right now. You want some of my 40F?

My husband is a race fanatic. No baseball, basketball, football etc, in this house. Nooo, if it doesn't have wheels it's no good. If it does have wheels, either 2 or 4, then he drools over it. But he used to race bicycles, then sport bikes...so it's in his blood, I guess. My older son now races go-karts now. Sigh.

  6. Or maybe this one is a better video. The whales and dolphins in an aquarium gets a bit sad after a while, but this is the band.

  8. I will have a look when I get home darlin'. As I look out my window, it seems the cool change is arriving. What power you have over the weather!

  9. Hey Jennifer, thanks for the song. I love that song, actually.

What does wokawoka mean? (Yeah, I know, I'm betraying my own ignorance here :)

  12. Sue,
I like that song too. I remember singing it with my bare feet on the window sill of the back seat of my parents' car as we drove across the 520 bridge from Seattle back home on a sunny day.

Isn't it funny how we connect such things?!

  13. Lucy - I demand you read every word I have written this past week *bangs hand on table*

Sorry, Im in the mania cycle of my manic depression :)

Thanks you. Happy creativity to you also (keep posting those dudettey pics, dudette)

Jennifer - cool memory :) I love those ones, how engaged by the senses they are. When I first read your comment I thought you were saying that you were singing the song out through your bare feet, and I thought, "Wow, I'd like that gift" :)
